Thank you for your interest in Kite Education; in addition to classroom presentations, summer camps, mini festivals, corporate retreats and team building seminars are also offered.
Interactive presentations are designed to accommodate a variety of ages from K to 12 in a variety of settings
The Kite Workshop is a formal introduction to kites and kite building, incorporating a unique hands on method of teaching the arts, science, math, history and geography with a kite background.
I take the student on a world tour. We begin in China 2000 BC, and travel around the world visiting other countries all around the world ending our tour in the United States in the 21st century.
The workshop allows the student to explore and learn about other cultures, customs and civilizations. Students will also acquire the skills of building, flying and understand the characteristics of flight.
All participants will build and fly their own creation, both indoors or out. All materials are supplied. Sessions can be abbreviated or lengthened to accommodate the client’s time constraints. The workshops are geared to a variety of age groups.
During this time, participants will learn about the history, science and mathematics of kites. The sessions generally end with a group fly in a gymnasium if available where I will perform an indoor kite ballet, and/or a fly at a nearby field or beach.
